About Mount Lofty
Located in the Toowoomba suburb of Mount Lofty, this proposed development will be a 50 lot residential community on a small portion of a 379 hectare former rifle range site.
The development application complies with all applicable bushfire legislation and standards, will have a minimal impact on existing infrastructure, and importantly minimises impact on wildlife habitat. A large balance parcel of land is proposed to be transferred to Toowoomba Regional Council for the extension of Jubilee Park.
The development is located in an elevated position on the edge of the ranges, with a rural outlook to the North-East. The site is well serviced in terms of amenities such as parks, shopping facilities, public and private schools and entertainment.
The site features an historical 100-year-old Moreton Bay Fig tree, planted by L/Sgt Eric French who served in WW1, which will be retained as part of the development.
The Development Application was lodged in April 2020.
